When you study saxophone at CIM, you will be part of a pioneering class of graduate diploma students in the first-ever saxophone studio at the Cleveland Institute of Music. You will have the chance to learn from Steven Banks, one of today’s most vibrant classical artists, renowned for his intentional support of diverse musical voices.

CIM’s saxophone program offers students a broad perspective on all genres and styles of music performance and a robust curriculum that includes private and studio lessons, chamber music opportunities, large ensemble rehearsals and performances, and more.
