The CIM Conservatory Catalog details CIM's rules, regulations and policies, including financial aid policies.
For financial aid information, download the CIM Financial Aid Information Guide.
All international applicants (graduate and undergraduate) and domestic undergraduates seeking any CIM need-based aid consideration for the 2020-21 academic year must submit the 2020-21 CSS PROFILE. We do not require the CSS PROFILE for domestic graduate student applicants.
CIM's PROFILE code is 1124. The 2020-21 CSS PROFILE is available to submit online now and is due February 1, 2020.
For more details about the PROFILE, please see the CSS Profile Guide. International students please submit all financial data in your home currency, as the PROFILE will convert all funds to U.S. dollars.
Some students may be required to complete the 19-20 Federal Verification Worksheet (Dependent) or 19-20 Federal Verification Worksheet (Independent). Only complete the applicable form if the CIM Financial Aid Office requires you to do so. The CIM 19-20 Verification Policy and Procedures are found, here.
Start your FAFSA online. CIM's School Code is 003031
Applicable to U.S. citizens and permanent residents (green card holders) only and is required for ALL U.S./permanent resident applicants seeking any need-based aid (federal/state grants, work study, loans). The FAFSA is required each year a student seeks any federal student aid consideration and eligibility may fluctuate year to year.
One to three business days after filing a FAFSA online, you should receive a Student Aid Report (SAR). Only the SAR indicates if you have a valid, completed FAFSA
Students who may receive outside/private support are required to notify CIM by completing the Outside Scholarship Information Form. This is applicable for funds that will be sent to CIM directly from the funding source or if the funds are paid directly to the student.
The SAP Policy form details academic standards that are required to be eligible for nearly all financial aid types.
For appeals, the CIM Financial Aid Committee will review and respond as soon as possible upon receipt of all required documents. For undergraduate students, the Special Circumstance Appeal Form will also need the Verification Worksheet (Dependent), and graduate students must submit the Verification Worksheet (Independent) form.
The Transfer Clearance Form is required of any applicant who will not have completed their current program at another school before enrolling at CIM. Also required if you have previously deposited and signed an Intent to Enroll Form with another school, such as if you are wait-listed at CIM, and accepted another school's offer. This is required for any scholarship or aid award, whether the student seeks scholarship only or need-based consideration as well.
