Creating a named scholarship at the Cleveland Institute of Music is a rewarding experience for both the student and the donor.
Each year, more than 1,000 young musicians apply for admission to CIM from all over the world. Most need significant financial help. The scholarship and aid package offered is a crucial factor in their decision to attend CIM.
CIM encourages scholarship donors to get to know the students who benefit from their generosity. There are opportunities throughout the year to meet your scholarship recipient and to hear them perform at CIM. You will know that you helped that student pursue their art and their career goals.
Scholarships can be awarded to students based on area of study (piano, trumpet, audio recording, etc.), academic merit; talent, financial need or other criteria. CIM has more than 120 named scholarships supporting students in nearly every program. More scholarships are always needed.
